Big Gym Gal

When it comes to exercising, I would say that I am a big gym gal. I am always making sure that I am getting some sort of physical activity in for the day, but what makes my day even better is if I make it to the gym. Today I went to the gym after class for a good chest, tricep and shoulder day at the little gym area in my apartment complex. It has just enough equipment in it to allow me to do what I need to accomplish for my workouts. My favorite is when I am able to get to the gym before I start my day, because it just makes me feel refreshed and energized for the rest of the day. If I cannot make it then, I will go after class instead. However, it does also help me at this point and time too, so I can feel refreshed and ready to get my homework done.

Ballin' Beavers Wheelchair Basketball

Tonight I got to go to the ARC and see my friends play in their Wheelchair Basketball game. I was offered to join their team called the "Ballin' Beavers", but I really cannot add another thing to my schedule at the moment. I got to sit in the fan section and cheer them on throughout the game alongside a few other girls there supporting them. For their next game, I plan to make them a big poster in hopes that this will have a positive affect in their playing. They ended up losing tonight, but I have all the faith in them to win during next weeks game.

Riding Lessons with Ginger

Today I had a riding lesson with my coach Ginger from the Western Equestrian Club at Slippery Rock! We have lessons once a week to prepare us for our horse shows we have twice during the semester. One show takes place at WVU's barn called "J.W. Ruby Research Farm" and the other takes place at SRU's barn called "Storm Harbor". This year our show at WVU is this weekend, Sunday the 29th of October and the SRU show is Sunday, November 12th. I am very excited to go out there and ride and also see some friends I made on the other teams, since this is the only time I get to see them!

Dance Days at PineTree

I have been a dance teacher for the past three years at my old studio. This year I am teaching five different classes which are, Ballet/Tap1 (4y/o), Jazz2 (6 y/o), HH2 (6 y/o), Boys HH (7-12 y/o), UC HH(14-18 y/o). Today, we had Parent Preview and Halloween Dress-Up day at the studio. This is the day where kids get to dress up in their costumes, also, their parents can come into the classroom and see what they have been learning/how classes run. For my little kids, we ran class normally with some fun activities in between, and at the end, the parents joined in and had a dance party with their child. The boys and the older students had a workout in the beginning to warm up, learned some fun new dance moves, and we showed the parents a combination at the end to show off some skills. It is always such a fun night with my students!
